Wheeler Extended Family Portraits

If you’ve followed along for many many years now, you will remember this post from six (six?!?!?!) years ago where I photographed Audra and Phillip’s wedding.  Well last year I had the chance to photograph them again plus their extended family! I love when I get to see families after the wedding day for portrait photography!  And can we talk about this amazing gene pool here??? Y’all are some good-looking people!

Stacey + Joe | Destination Wedding In Jamaica

There are some questions you already know the answer to when asked.  When I got a call from Sherri with Vacationista Travel about a year ago asking if I was available for an upcoming destination wedding to Jamaica, the answer was without a doubt YES!!

Sherri has planned several uh-mazing trips for me and for friends, so I knew anything she had her hand in would be incredible… and it was!

Joe, Stacey, their family, and friends were simply wonderful. I enjoyed meeting and photographing everyone at the cocktail welcome reception. The following day the weather threatened rain but to our relief, not a drop fell during the wedding, multi-course dinner, or reception.   Joe and Stacey, thank you so much for having me along to document your long awaited and joyous wedding!

Oh y’all. This shoot had me in my feelings!! I think I sniffled and wiped away tears at least 17 times while editing.  That saying the days go by slow and the years fast never felt more true.  How else can you explain how I now get hair and make-up tips from the toddler I once carried on my hip???

It has been a joy and delight to watch Abigail over the years. Our families have been friends for decades and to see her become an engaging, winsome, young lady brings a smile to my face.  She is friendly and creative and joyful!  Abigail, I am thrilled to watch the story of your life continue to unfold.  So much love to you sweet girl. Your Auntie is cheering you on from the sidelines!
